The 446 Plattform® is provided as a virtual machine (VM) for the web server, application server and database server in the resource pool. In the event of an error/service, the affected physical hardware segment can be disconnected manually or automatically. This reduces system downtime to a minimum.

- Favorite Database High Availability (DBHA) Scenario via Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC)
To keep the 446 Plattform® database highly available, from SQL Server 2017 you can make the database available in an Always-On availability group using WSFC. Always-on availability groups offer high availability, disaster recovery, and load balancing for read scaling. These availability groups require a cluster manager. On Windows, the Cluster Manager is provided by Windows Server Failover Clustering.
A WSFC cluster (Windows Server Failover Clustering) is required to provide Always-On availability groups for HA under Windows. Each availability replica of a particular availability group must be located in a different node of the same WSFC. The only exception is that an availability group can temporarily extend to two clusters during migration to another WSFC cluster.
